Notice Regarding Temporary Suspension of Hearing and Payment Reminder Program

The Superior Court of California, County of Monterey, wishes to inform court users and justice partners that the Court’s automated text and email reminder program will be suspended due to the implementation of a new Court Case Management System.

Effective January 20th 2026, the Court will no longer issue automated reminders, including:

  • Hearing reminders previously sent 3 days and 1 day prior to scheduled hearings; and

  • Monthly traffic payment reminders for individuals on approved payment plans.

We recognize that these reminders have been a valuable service to court users and we regret any inconvenience caused by this interruption.

This suspension is necessary to ensure a smooth and secure transition to the new system. The Court is actively exploring options to implement an enhanced reminder service in the future and is committed to restoring this functionality as soon as it is feasible.

During this transition period, all parties are encouraged to carefully track their hearing dates, payment due dates, and other case-related obligations. Individuals may consult the Court’s online case information system or contact the appropriate court division for assistance.

The Court appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we work to enhance our technology systems and continue providing accessible and reliable service to the community.
