Message from the Jury Commissioner:

If you receive a call regarding your jury service from someone claiming to represent the Court or law enforcement, IT IS A SCAM.  The Court or law enforcement will NEVER call you about your jury service or ask you for money.  Do not under any circumstances pay any money in response to such a call.  If you receive such a call, please contact the Court or law enforcement, or the FBI at (415) 553-7400.

Phone Scams

Monterey County Superior Court has become aware of a telephone scam impersonating court personnel and requesting or demanding a payment. The court would NEVER make such a call. Please do not act on such a call, and instead contact the main court telephone number at (831) 775-5400 for more information.

E-Filing

Mandatory Electronic Filing

Effective April 1, 2016 , the court entered the mandatory phase of electronic filing of legal documents to the court (e-filing) for attorneys. Self-represented litigants are encouraged to electronically file with the court but are not mandated.

Step One :

To start e-filing is to select your service provider. An electronic filing service provider (EFSP) provides an online service to help you file your documents, and acts as the intermediary between you and the Odyssey eFileCA system.

Each EFSP offers a variety of additional services and you should evaluate which provider meets your filing needs. Once you register with a service provider, you may not need to re-register should you choose to use another provider. Some providers allow you to log in with your existing username and password.

Currently, there are a number of EFSPs working to become certified with eFileCA and we expect the number of certified EFSPs to increase in the coming months.

Certified EFSPs are listed on the Odyssey eFileCA website.
