Self Help Center in Salinas Temporarily Closed

Due to limited staffing, the Self-Help Center in Salinas will be temporarily closed to the public from June 23, 2025 until July 31, 2025.  The Monterey Self-Help Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:00 at 1200 Aguajito Road.  The King City Self-Help Center is open on Tuesday from 9:00 to 3:00 at 250 Franciscan Way.  You can also contact the Self-Help Center by calling 831-647-5800 ex. 3005 or by emailing selfhelpcenter@monterey.courts.ca.gov.  Thank you for your patience as we work to serve each person as promptly as we can.

Courtroom Technologies

The Superior Court of California, County of Monterey offers digital evidence presentation capabilities in Departments 1 through 9. These courtrooms offer an Audio/Visual environment which integrates the latest audio, video and presentation technologies to improve courtroom efficiency. An HDMI connection is provided to presenters for digital evidence and a document camera for physical evidence.  Evidence is displayed through a court provided projector and screen. Audio is transmitted through in-ceiling speakers.  Control of the system is accomplished through touch panels mounted at the counsel tables.

Court Public Wireless Access

Superior Court of California, County of Monterey provides Complimentary Public Wireless Internet Access

The Court provides a free Internet access point or "hot spot" for the benefit of the Public, Jurors, Court Employees, and Justice Partners (during normal business hours) who have portable computers capable of receiving wireless signals. This access point will allow users to access the Internet from their laptop computers when sitting within range of the access point at all of the Court Facilities except Juvenile.

Now the Public, Prospective Jurors, Attorneys, and Law Enforcement Agencies can check their email, download files for court, or just view the Court's Website for immediate access to calendaring or other Court News or Information while visiting most Court Facilities.
