Message from the Jury Commissioner:

If you receive a call regarding your jury service from someone claiming to represent the Court or law enforcement, IT IS A SCAM.  The Court or law enforcement will NEVER call you about your jury service or ask you for money.  Do not under any circumstances pay any money in response to such a call.  If you receive such a call, please contact the Court or law enforcement, or the FBI at (415) 553-7400.

Phone Scams

Monterey County Superior Court has become aware of a telephone scam impersonating court personnel and requesting or demanding a payment. The court would NEVER make such a call. Please do not act on such a call, and instead contact the main court telephone number at (831) 775-5400 for more information.

Notice of Temporary Changes to Electronic Filing and Phone Hours

On January 20, 2026 the Monterey County Superior Court will be transitioning to a new case management system, eCourt.

To ensure a smooth conversion process, please observe the following important deadlines and filing requirements:

  • Effective Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. electronic filings will no longer be accepted via the court’s electronic filing system, File & Serve.
  • Only paper filing will be allowed between January 5, 2026, and January 19, 2026.
  • Effective Tuesday January 20, 2026, electronic filing will resume for all case types via Journal Technology’s Court Portal. Additional information and a web address will be posted on the court’s website in the coming weeks.
