E-Filing
Mandatory Electronic Filing
Attorneys are mandated to electronically file documents (e-file). Self-represented litigants are encouraged to electronically file with the court but are not mandated.
To start e-filing: Select your service provider. An electronic filing service provider (EFSP) provides an online service to help you file your documents, and acts as the intermediary between you and the eCourt system. Please see the list of service providers below.
Each EFSP offers a variety of additional services and you should evaluate which provider meets your filing needs. Once you register with a service provider, you may not need to re-register should you choose to use another provider. Some providers allow you to log in with your existing username and password.
Currently, there are a number of EFSPs working to become certified with eCourt and we expect the number of certified EFSPs to increase in the coming months.

Note: Tyler Technologies is no longer able to submit electronic filings to the Monterey Superior Court. If you currently use Tyler Technologies to efile documents you will need to choose a different EFSP from the list.
